Since the impeachment trial has preempted Days of our lives why is yesterday Tuesday Jan 28 not on demand today?

You need to ask NBC. Directv has no control over what is available on demand.

Each network controls what is on their On Demand library. This would be a question for NBC, not DirecTV.

Be aware there is no requirement of what they have in On Demand. Though I agree it would be nice if they did so for these situations.
