Streaming While Stationed Overseas (military)

Can I Stream DirecTV on my computer, Apple TV or Amazon Fire Cube when the military reassigns me overseas? I will be stationed in South Korea for two years and don't want to have to use several different streaming services to be able to watch my favorite shohws and college football. I will not need to continue to have DirecTV in my stateside residence. However, IF a dish and receiver setup at a stateside home is required, I can pay for a relative to setup the dish and receiver in their home. Thanks.

DirecTV is not allowed (licensed) to broadcast/stream outside of country.

The DirecTV app is only for smart phone and tablets, not for TV streaming devices. To watch on a TV you must pay for it by having a receiver or client on it as normal. Physical service address matters for sports teams viewing markets, locals received, and taxes you paid.

However, if you have the 2nd generation Genie (HR44) or higher, you can use mobile DVR to temporarily (30 days) copy recordings to your mobile device. Remember the app will only allow viewing on the device itself as streaming/casting/airplay to TV is not supported.

No, you won’t be able to stream Directv. For one thing, the Directv app is only available on phones and tablets. There is no Directv app for Apple TV or fire cubes. The ability to stream is also location based. If your location is determined to be outside of the US, you won’t be able to stream. What would work is a sling box connected to the stateside receiver.
