where do I go to File a dispute, we never signed a contract Nor did we ever agree to a contract, when we try to cancel Acct. Rep say did

We have tried to cancel our DIRECT TV service depite us statint that we neer signed or agreed to any kind of contract the account rep. says we have to pay a cancellation of contract fee, how can a fee be charged to a customer that never agreed to any such contract.  I am going to file a complaint with the ATTORNEY GENERAL OF INDIANA's office.  I was given a contact of Billing.Directtv. and no were doest it say disputes.

All intro offers for DirecTV come with a service agreement. This is in all advertisements, should be mentioned by the agent when order is placed, is absolutely on the order confirmation sent to you before install is done, and is once again mentioned on the handheld that someone is required to sign off on to complete the work order.

Everybody gets a starting service agreement. There is no way around that.

The billing webpage you were referred to is only to dispute missing/missaplied payment, not to dispute charges or a service agreement.

Well filing a complaint with the INDIANA ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE.  Because we Signed nothing.  and all we want to do is cancel for horrible sevice and loss of service..   The Intemation that they try to use on people is definaly not what any business should ever try to use.  I will tell everyone I know to never ever get DIRECT TV, not to listen any bull about how much better the service is because is isn't...

If you are so unhappy with your service then pay the cancellation fee everyone knows that new customers and even old customers who upgrade their equipment are under a 2-year agreement with Directv Sattelite for their services it is all over their website and the information that was sent to you at the time your service was installed. The only way that you would not have been under contract would be if you had gotten Directv Streaming Service and even with them if you bought brand new streaming boxes through them you could be bound to 2 years of payments for the boxes.  Either way, you are still liable for the payment.  But since you are also complaining about service you could always complain to the BBB (Better Business Bureau).

Once serivce is installed you have accepted the order as is. That includes the 24 month service agreement that everyone gets (you are no special exception) along with the Terms of Service (ToS). If you did not read your order confirmation or the fine print of the advertisements, that is unfortunate but hopefully at least a life leason learned.

Someone at the home upon install had to sign the handheld so the tech could close out the order that the work was complete. In any case even if the agent you spoke with neglected to mention the service agreement (doubtful, but not impossible), that is where the order confirmation is very important as makes sure you are informed regardless what the agents said or you "heard".

Feel free to submit your complaint, but it likely will do nothing. DirecTV has had a 24 month service agreement for about 20 years and is very up front about it in official documentation. As for telling everyone you know, well I assume they have their own minds and don't follow what you say as pure gospel. At least inform them to read everything so they do not get caught by ignorance.
