Want to disconnect service now that ESPN, Disney and ABC are gone.
Want to disconnect service now that ESPN, Disney and ABC are gone.
I am unable to get anyone on the phone or online to speak with directly about this. DirecTV has gone straight down the tubes and continues to hemorrhage customers every quarter to the tune of hundreds of thousands.
There are better services for MUCH less money.

Switching isn't the answer since these types of blackout issues affect the entire industry. DIRECTV is always working with broadcasters and channels to align the value and quality customers receive with the price they pay. We appreciate your understanding. Arlyn, DIRECTV Community Specialist

We will be switching … very disappointed … this happened with CBS last year and now ABC, ESPN … no LSU game, no US Open Tennis and no BC football all in the same weekend …. have grands … won’t be going to a Disney either … unAmerican!

Also called direct TV was connected to sales … they said they couldn’t help me last night … they went to connect me to the OFFICe … was after hours … to.d me to call back and then got disconnected. They should have had people in their offices all weekend dealing with clients for this. Budweiser got toasted a few years ago …Direct TV is next. Poor customer service!

Have fun switching when your new provider has the same thing happens to them.

@Mehaggs
Going to Disney is "unAmerican"? I'd love to hear the reasoning for that, lol.

Can I suspend my service? I mainly watch ABC & ESPN. Why am I paying for something I can’t watch? Also, this comes in the heels of a price increase. How does that even make sense?

Hahaha.. Good luck! You can hardly post anything here without the reps that don't even work for DirecTV deleting your message because they got their feelings hurt! This place is a joke. Just like the service offerings now from DirecTV.

This is not just affecting ABC owned affiliates. My local ABC station is owned by Tegna and if off air over this garbage.

I love how DirecTV says "switching isnt the answer". Yes, switching IS the answer. We JUST went through this garbage with you and Tegna earlier this year. Now, my same, TEGNA owned ABC affiliate in Austin is off air again on DirecTV stream because of another one of these disputes. So yes, switching is the answer because this is a load of garbage right at the start of football season.

It's nice to have options. Just realize that ALL providers are impacted by these continual contract disputes. Content owners get richer and richer while TV providers are forced to raise rates and lose subscribers.

@litzdog911 That is true, they do all have these issues. DirecTV seems to have them more than anyone else considering we just went through this with Tegna owned stations back in January and here we are again with my Tegna owned ABC affiliate off air yet AGAIN.

I've been following these disputes for many years. Dish Network actually gets the award for the most and longest-running contract disputes. Folks complain loudly to their provider when rates go up due to greedy network owners when they should be complaining to those network owners. And, of course, network owners point the finger at the TV providers. It's a crazy mess.

@litzdog911 As have I. All any of these companies do is point the finger at each other during these disputes. In the end, we as consumers are the ones who get screwed and lose.

Definitely canceling phones service and cable service this is horrible service. And to tell us you are fighting for better service is a slap in the customers face we know it's all about the money in your pockets $20 credit is a joke as well . Having all services cancel for your lack of customer support.
