The backlighting for the Gemini remote keys is only illuminated when one of the keys is pressed. In a dark room an action button is often inadvertently pressed, with undesirable results. As a future enhancement couldn’t the backlighting illuminate when the remove is moved or shaken?

I have tried several remotes and have replaced the mini genie with a new one. I have reset the remotes many times. I didn't know I had this?? I have Genie in one room, and an older box in the other. Snow killed our signal, and the Genie started streaming the channel. We didn't miss a beat on the show. But the other was dead to anything live??? Confused on what's going on there.

connecting vcr to directv with mini genie

Will I need the main Direct TV box to set up service in my new home. I will not occupy the home for a week, after the install can I take the main box back to the home I'm in for the next week?
