Can I input the C71kw 400 box by hdmi through my Sony surround sound to the Samsung smart tv. Will the Gemini remote then perform all functions?

I reset my TV in attempt to fix the ongoing audio sync issue. Now the Gemini air is not displaying anything. It's like TV thinks there's an internal antenna. I want the Gemini air as the video source.

I can control my tv and sound system with the Gemini remote, but I have to use the TCL and Bose remotes to turn on their respective systems first. Should the Gemini remote be able to turn on and off the TCL tv and Bose sound system??
