How come DirecTV STILL hasn’t fixed the issue with recording the wrong channel for sporting events?

Say your team is playing against a team from another city. You get the sports channel for your team but not that other city.  Which channel should your season pass record, the channel you get or the one you don’t?  If you said the wrong one, you’re probably one of the DirecTV programmers
