DIRECTV dropping OANN?

How could you bow down to the WOK cancel culture demands to dropping OANN?  They do not lie!  The "big lie of the 2020 election" is absolutely true. There is mountains of evidence of the election steal. All the misinformation comes from liberals not conservatives!  My husband and I will be dropping Directv if you go thru this in April. I will convince all our friends and family to do likewise. This is an attack on freedom of speech and our country. Shame on you!!!!

Att sold me direct stream tv without disclosing that OAN and AWW will no longer be provided. I am very unhappy and look forward to taking my business elsewhere. The charges for att tv have gotten out of hand and now they’re even removing channels.

Why would you drop OAN news from your lineup?   It is our "go to" channel for news!  It is the only news channel in your lineup that is reliable to have correct news and not someone's opinion of the news.  This is very upsetting.  Please bring it back right away!  We really like your service and would hate to have to switch to another company.

From what I understand, OANN was cancelled by Directv for promoting the opinion that the 2020 election was stolen.  If that is the case, will you also now cancel CNN, MSNBC, and FSTV for promoting the debunked Russia collusion (Edited per community guidelines) and these same networks for stifling the Hunter Biden laptop story?   Sadly, I think you will not do this.  As such, I ask that you return OANN to the lineup.

AT&T/DirecTV announced months ago that when the carriage agreement came up that they would part ways with OANN. If you want to watch it, you will need to find another option.

Why did you remove from the programming that I already paid . You now have the right to pull any program do does not fit your political views! What's next? Just cancel CNN!

I have been watching OAN for a long time. I am going to quit my subscription and not have an AT&T cell phone as well. I had thought about changing it to AT&T, but not any longer. If you do not return OAN within 2 months, you can count my DirecTv as cancelled.

Very unhappy with DirecTv that they have chosen to no longer carry OANN.  

This only helps the decision easier.  I will likely cut the cord with Directv but having the DVR is so darn helpful.  But it seems the organization is making a political statement.  So, why not cut CNN also.  Then that would be fair and balanced.  That network spreads many lies.

Lots of Streaming options out there DirecTv... 

As a consumer I ought to be able to make my own decisions.  If we don't agree with the point of view, change the channel.  

Give this some thought.

I agree this was most likely a political statement. Big businesses like AT&T which owns DIRECTTV have a stake in political platforms. We should consider this as censorship and no different than Putin shutting down Russian news broadcasters.

OAN News is our favorite news outlet. Why was it dropped from the network? Was this a political decision as this was a (Edited per community guidelines) network.

Why can I no longer get One America News?  I am disgusted by the attempts by some companies to become self appointed gate keepers for freedom of speech and freedom of the press.  If One America News was de-platformed from DirecTV as a form of censorship, my plan will be to discontinue service and select alternatives.  If for another reason, please advise so I can make an educated decision.

I firmly believe in the constitution, including the 1st Amendment.  I do not have to agree with the message, but fought for the right of all to express their opinion peacefully.  Yes, I wore a US military uniform for 20 years .. and believe in the country I swore to defend.

I found OANN and have been watching it since NOV 2020. I set down to watch it MON APR 4, 2022 and the message said it was no longer available.
WHY???? WHEN is it coming back???? DID the contract get picked up again???

IF it is not getting renewed SOON than I am cancelling my DIRECTV and AT&T Services. I will go streaming and pay their $4.99 a month fee.

Do NOT treat me like a child, and do NOT take away the only truthful news channel out there.

I do not follow your left wing, (Edited per community guidelines) ideas. I am an independent adult and can choose for myself what to watch or what to delete from my favorites channel.

BRING BACK OANN!!!!!!

I strongly suggest looking at the availability of Over the air channels as well as streaming apps. We have been talking about this for months here. VUTV+, Pluto Tv, KlowdTV and more carries OANN and you can get a Firestick for thousands of free movies. 

I have been watching OANN, Newsmax and also Skynews (British news). I get allot of channels on the OTA channels. Tivo does a good job and the newer has the Auto skip for commercials on recorded programs. It also does the onepass programming so not to miss shows. There is an A&E app but I dont know if it requires cable / satellite service to stream as well which really does not make alot of sense. I a person has a cable or satellite service why stream at home? Maybe it is used on potable (tablet or cell phone). I use Pluto and a few other free streaming apps on my fire TV and firestick. 

I did not lose anything but rather gained more and saved $$. Look at otadtv dot C for what you can get. I get all the major networks (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC) as well as, METV, ION, H&I, Grit, CW, Bounce TV, Comet TV and more. Streaming so many others so cut tie DTV and enjoy the free access to what you watch

OANN and AWE was not renewed and removed. As far as I can tell it is not coming back. Thousands of DTV customers have also dropped DTV because of this. We have been discussing how the use of Over the Air (OTA) can give you allot of free TV. As well as the plethora of streaming apps such as Pluto TV, VUTV+, kloudTV, Prime TV and Firestick can provide many more options and for a fraction of the cost. Many are FREE.

I would like to know WHY DirecTV and ATT determined its customers would not be allowed to watch OAN.  I have asked this question several times and NEVER get an answer as to WHY.  Is it true - as some have said- that ATT and DirecTV are managed by intolerant, woke democrats?

Yes, DirecTV got rid of it. Woke is the term that's being tossed around here. There have been multiple threads concerning this very topic. Many in this forum with decades of loyalty are so disappointed that they are cancelling their service.

Yeah, the decision was made 3 months ago not to renew the contract.  Check OAN's website for ways to view it.  Lots of us here have dropped our service.  Not sure when your contract ends but you may want to consider paying the cancellation fee and bowing out.  I didn't realize until I went to cancel that I just fulfilled my contract on my newer account from 2020 last month so its up to you to continue paying off your 2-year contract or cut your losses.  I know it took me months to clear my dvr and get some streaming and OTA options set up before quitting DTV.  Also I had OAN on every day so there was the curiosity factor of "when" it would go off the air.  My guess is midnight on the 4th.  I watched up until 10pm and when I checked it at 1am the screen that is there now was showing.  I simply went to my Klowdtv to watch instead.

I can no longer watch One America News( ONA) or the History Channel. Cancellation of ONA shows how prejudice DirectTV is toward (Edited per community guidelines), and Libertarian Americans.  ONA believes in the Constitution, loves United States of America and free speech and present REAL NEWS! Especially on early Covid-19 treatment ( over 300 peered reviewed articles), Election fraud.

If these 2 channels, which are also favorites for me, are getting more expensive for Direct TV to carry, why not still offer them, for an additional fee.

I plan on dropping Direct TV, because of their decisions.

Why did you remove One America News?  That is the only news worth watching!!!!  Why don't you get rid of CNN instead?  I want my OAN Back!!  Your rates have gone up a lot, and then you take away the only Good News station!!!  I am not a happy customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They decided not to renew the carriage agreement back in January. There are a bunch of us on here who have been talking for months about changing services and some of us have already left directv in favor of other services. You may want to ask directv about their streaming option to get Klowd TV to watch OAN.  Good luck with whatever decision you make.
