My intention of being a future customer has changed and here's why

We are moving soon, and I was considering DIrectTV at our new place in northwest Arkansas.

Then I found out that Newsmax had been canceled. I prefer getting perspectives from various sources, and censoring out a conservative voice like Newmax is unacceptable.

Because of this, I'm talking to friends about this and will not be ordering myself. If we don't have an America that is free to choose out own and divergent sources of information, then we don't have an America at all.

Please Reconsider,

NewsMax was not cancelled, the agreement between NewsMax and Directv expired and NewsMax chose to remove their channel while they negotiate. Directv can not simply add NewsMax back, they need to come to a new agreement. That takes both sides. Besides, any tv service not carrying a channel is not censorship. Also, NewsMax is available to watch free over the internet. No one has taken away your freedom to choose.

All tv providers go through contracts and negotiations for channel content.  There was no cancellation the only reason why Newsmax is not on Directv is that Newsmax chose to pull their channel and walk away from the negotiations.  Right now Directv is still open and willing to work with Newsmax and there is a possibility that it could come back but both parties would have to agree on the terms.  As for me if I want to watch it I can stream it for free on the Newsmax app just like anyone else that has internet.
