Brick Wall

ATT Community help! I have hit a wall, with hours and hours of calling. I cannot get anything resolved. Last year i recieved numerous all from a group claiming to be ATT promoting new channels and such to me. I asked them numerous times to be taken off the list, the final time they refuse to take me off the call list and then SLAMMED me with a Espanol channel $14.99 a month and an additional box fee $7.00 a month 

 

About every 6 months, i have to do the battle, explain what happend and get the channel charges removed. BUT THEY never take the channel off my bill permanently. Now ATT refuses to credit anything else and I have two choices "eat it" or disconnect the service. I was in shock! She used the term "eat it."

 

This company has become so huge they cannot manage the ship and the subscriber is told to eat their mistakes!..Its now over $300 in extra charges... HELP!

its not odd, this is a community forum not at&t, ATTHelp is but 2 or 3 people in a see of 10k posts per day and the response to your post 7 months ago is they are 3rd party vendors not at&t or directv directv does not email or call offering specials , it would come in snail mail or if you called them and asked.

This is a public forum of other customers, not DirecTV support itself. So that number of views is from other customers like yourself.

With the redesigned forum months ago, they removed completely the option of Private Messaging (PM).

Their forum help team is a handful of people. That is not enough to handle the thousands of posts out there, and certainly not one 7 months ago that was before they put the old forum into sunset.

For official support you call. Because of the issue of getting credit for the channel pack, but the pack itself not removed after multiple attempts, when you get the voice system say "cancel". At this point an experienced retention agent, or one of their supervisors, needs to review the situation and possibly submit complaint on prior agents for not removing the pack as requested.

On the off chance an official "help" response appears in this thread requesting personal account info with the claim of making the thread private, be cautious. There has been a big issue lately with the process of turning a thread private not going through correctly, meaning the entire world can see your info. Seen too many where the thread did not become private for many hours.
