Double billef

I was charged double for my direct tv for over a year. I didn’t realize it because it was charged to two different cards. I sent the dispute forms by certified mail on February 10,2021 and have heard nothing back

Billed to 2 different cards? I wonder if that was to 2 separate accounts.

If both payments went to the same account: www.directv.com/paymentdispute

If a 2nd account was opened without your authorization (including if moved but they opened a new account instead of moving the existing one): www.directv.com/notmyaccount

It was two separate accounts. A repairman  came and while he was here set up a new cheaper account but failed to cancel the old account. When I finally figured it out I filed a complaint but have not received a reply

Hate to say it but not reviewing your bill or bills and credit card charges for over a year is on you. Good luck getting reimbursed but you are supposed to catch billing errors within 3 months.

Tech on site has no option to cancel an account. For that you call customer support. And it is one account for the lifetime of your service. So that "repairman" scammed a new account activation which is fraud.

Follow the notmyaccount link for this situation. Though over a year later is an issue (they have a 60 day dispute policy as expect people to be more attentive to their own finances), this still has a chance to resolve as 2 accounts for one address shouldn't happen to begin with as is a violation of their Terms of Service and Federal regulations. Hope it works out in your favor.
