Guess you didn't read the banner at the top of this page. DTV is still providing you with sat channels.

Tell it to Disney, they are the ones that removed the feed when they could have left it on.

You have lost no channels from DirecTV - they are still there. You lost the content from Disney. Have you voiced your concern to Disney? I bet not!

Oh, bless their hearts. Jump thru more hoops to use another service?  I pay so I don't have to jump thru MORE hoops. Just get it done.

You pay DTV, DTV pays Disney so yes some of your money is going to Disney and every other content provider.

@mi_kamelot

You pay your TV provider (DirecTV, Cox, Comcast, etc.) who in turn pays Disney. So yes you are sending money to Disney even if not directly.

DirecTV is not allowed to provide you any of those channels until Disney permits it. Unfortunately, Disney is holding out to raise rates even more.

Since the TV providers do not own the channels, they all have a clause in their Terms of Service that the channels (and programming on them) may change at ANY time. There is no obligation to provide you any specific channel guaranteed. As such you are getting exactly what you are supposed to, which is channels by satellite even though the specifics can change.

Fortunately these negotiations do not tend to last very long. And once complete they are usually a multi year deal. That way Disney only has to do this to one provider at a time. Same base situation for most of these carriage disputes.

You may not be naïve but seem in denial about how the money flows in this situation. And you are discussing with other customers like yourself. ACEs are not employed by DirecTV (or related 3rd party) so are not shills.

And a childish underhanded insult such as the traditional "bless your heart" does not do anything positive for the discussion or the channel negotiation.
