Must read !!Overcharging and Lying about service prices.
I have been a loyal customer of ATT for almost 20 years, but the way Directv has treated me has been outrageous. I was given false information about their services and charges by them to keep me as a customer and not cancel service. They told me my bill would be a certain amount and promised me certain programming for a price. I have the written proof of it, once i contacted them about the charges. they brushed me off and gave me the run around for over a month just to tell me that they had some possible deals for me but not addressing anything about the false promises and lies regarding what our deal was. One of the worst customer services and truly should be reported to the BBB. I tried to speak to a manager and they kept sending me to different representatives who had different answers for me regarding the same issue. No one, absolutely no one was able to tell me why they lied to me even though i had written proof of what they promised.

What is this "written" proof? Is this an order confirmation DirecTV sent, or something handwritten in person?
This is a customer to customer forum, so there is no account access here. However with specifics to what you expected vs what you got, we might be able to provide guidance to get this straightened out.

I'm coming to find out this is standard operating procedure for them. Same thing happened to me with my Direct TV service. Although I like the service, the pricing is not what I was told so I am now shopping it with other providers / service. Good luck getting your issue resolved but don't hold your breath. I'm finding that Dish Network has some good deals going write now for my neighborhood so that is what I am going with.

Written proof meaning, i dealt with their representatives through the live chat and you can save and send transcript of conversation when it ends to your email as a copy and proof of what you have just talked about.

Yes i am looking at alternatives, now its truly not the programming because i do enjoy the programming and the streaming features even the mobile app. The customer service and lies i do not appreciate.
