Channel 323 DTV missing from View Guide but can be viewed by changing channel to 323 FETV
323 FETV/DTV missing from View Guide on DVR so cannot record in advance but can change channel to 323 (FETV) and view all programs, such as Mannix, Perry Mason, Rawhide, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Emergency!, Barney Miller, Bewitched, Leave It to Beaver, etc.
I called DirecTV about this and they said DTV is on so many channels that, in effect, it can't be included in the View Guide. This doesn't make any sense to me and seemed evasive.
I can program any other channel that is on the View Guide on DirecTV in advance, but not this channel. This means I have to be watching when a show begins and hit the record button on the DVR.
I am on DirecTV San Francisco.

Have you tried changing " Favorites" to "All channels"? It shows in my guide that way. Just add it to your personal "Favorite" channels list.

Do you mean the channel isn't in the guide itself, but you can go directly to it by putting in the channel number?
If so, then sounds like you have a "favorites" list setup but the channel is hidden. Go into your favorites settings and make sure the channel is checked.

Working here in LA,Ca so the first thing to try is a search for clearmybox that will dump the guide data and other things and starts to rebuild it and it will take a day or two to finish any program set to record will. New or clueless CSR as DTV is not on any channel as DTV rebroadcasts the channels sent to them. The guide data is on a continuous loop so there is room for everything but takes more time.
