HELP ANYONE PLEASE!!!
Direct TV and AT&T are EXPERTS at hiding from their customers. There is literally no reasonable way to contact them! There is no e-mail, phone hold times are outrageous and chat is offline. I know what my error code is... 923. All I need to do is get a replacement receiver based on the notes. I'm even eligible for replacement receivers. HOW CAN YOU DO THIS? No one is working. It is unbearable to be locked in your house all month with no TV. PLEASE I'M BEGGING ANYONE TO RESPOND~~~

My thread sounds like your thread. I give up on this. It's a call center and these folks are sitting in cubicles on their own phones. Just a bunch of crap and an excuse for them to say it's Covid. Youtube TV fired right up for me and I got a week free. No need for any dang receivers..Good luck

Employees sent home and supposedly some call centers closed because of Covid-19. This is how it is going to be for a while.
This is a public forum of other customers. Though we can help sometimes in finding a solution to get the box working again, with error 923 that is the hard drive failed and calling DirecTV for a warranty replacement is the only way to fix that.

By "eligible for replacement receivers" I assume you mean you are qualified for a free upgrade. I would post the models of all boxes you have (including the problem one) here to get some guidance. Some of their agents only push the absolute newest system, even if it may not be the best option for you personally.

You are exactly right, My best results in the past have been to cancel the service. then they will call you to see why you cancelled and offer to a better price to stay with them and you can actually talk to someone.
