HR21-100 Bad screen flicker and crazy res light changes.
I arrived at my TV yesterday to see that the D* receiver had locked up whilst the Plasma TV was on. 😞 Sad Burn in now. 😞
Anyhoo, I rebooted the receiver and proceeded to switch over to Sunday Ticket to watch some games. I watched just a few minutes of one game and the screen started flickering something fierce. Flickering so bad that it was unwatchable. The picture would sometimes be extremely zoomed in. Even the D* UI was flickering...not just the tv program.
Not only that but the RES lights on the front 480i and 480p were blinking rapidly back and forth.
I warm booted, cold booted both receiver and TV. Even managed to pull down the most recent update despite the flicker. Still tons of screen flicker. Almost looks like the vertical Hold or horizontal Hold is off like on an old CRT television.
Receiver was connected via RGB component video and coax digital sound. I know the receiver is the problem as I put my other receiver in place and everything was lovely. Also, during receiver boot up, I experienced NO flicker at all. Picture was clear as a bell!
Any ideas? Bad receiver?
