Interent speed required

I'm in the process of having DirecTV installed.  My question is regarding internet speed required for viewing DirecTV Cinema.

The website says that a broadband connection is req'd.

Comcast offers a broadband connection speed of 1.5mbps (among others), and AT&T offers 6.0mbps using dsl.  Would the dsl not work eventhough it's faster?
