New TV vs Old Receiver

I have a five-year old HD20 receiver that works well with my older televisions.  Last night I took receipt of a new Toshiba 55 WXS800U which is 3-D ready.  There seems to be no way I can marry the old receiver with the new TV.  I am using an HDMI input and the satellite just locks into a re-boot loop.  The TV works fine with existing HDMI cables and my BluRay players.  Does anyone have any advice, please?
