Problems doing ANYTHING
If I turn my tv on and go to the correct input to watch television, i see the following: The directv blue screen with DIRECTV fading in and out on top with nothing below but blueness; no words, nothing. All buttons on the remote do not work (I've checked that for certain, I'm certain 100%), and I cannot get anywhere, though the receiver DOES pick up on the remote being pushed because the light flickers yellow when I push a button. Anyway, I cannot see anything else but this, which is essentially nothing, but it proves the box works still. Buttons directly on the box do nothing.
Two other directv receivers are in the house and work perfectly, just not this one.It is an HR10-250 if that helps.

First thing to try is resetting your DVR/Receiver using the red button behind the front panel access card door. See if that helps.

There isn't any red button behind the card door.

then just pull the power cord for a few minutes then plug back in.

The HR10-250 is old and has basically been replaced wholesale by Directv. If you want a replacement with a current model, call Directv.
