Viewing Photos on dvr hr 24
When I had the hr20 I was able to view photos on my dvr under "music, photos, and more" in the menu. Now when have my computer working I don't see the menu item "music, photos, and more". I read a recent post and upgraded my windws media player, turned off my windows firewall temporarily and reset my dvr. Nothing has worked so far. Also, checked the connection and noticed that it was connected. I have a ethernet plugged directly into the box. Also, I am able to watch youtube videos on the dvr. Anyway, what can I do to display my pictures on the dvr? And do I need to have windows media player running? Thanks.

No, but the computer must be up and running. Note that many computers will also lose "music etc" if the computer goes into hibernation. If you don't get this ironed out, post your complete situation in the Mediashare forum and we'll try to help.
