Waiting for Receiver message
Two days ago we suddenly started having issues with the client boxes associated to the HD44 Genie. The picture will freeze and then a black screen appears followed by a message saying that it is Waiting for receiver. We have reset the Genie and our wifi network as well as the client boxes but the problem continues. Have also checked all the the cables for secure fit. On Saturday afternoon a message appeared telling us to call customer service. Customer service tries to resend an authorization but after that failed, we were told a tech would have to come out for a fee of $99. Is there anything else we can check before I cancel the service?

What happens when you press the red button on side of the Mini? Have you tried that? Press that should then get a message (after it reboots) which server do want to connect --it should display 169. XXX.XXX. hrr44--select using the remote.

I finally found the cause of the problem....there is a modem in between the receiver genie and the minis that I had forgotten all about. It turns out the coaxial cable was loose at both the connection the modem and to the jack on the wall. I tightened both of those and we have not had the issue at all this evening.
