Hello when I try to activate google assistant on my DIRECTV stream device, it goes to the “search across all your TV apps”. I select on “allow” and nothing happens. When I go back to the google assistant it will keep showing me that same screen. What do I need to do to fix this issue?

Does DIRECTV have support Google Assistant on the roadmap?  Dish supports Google Assistant.   I am a long-time very loyal DIRECTV customer - but lack of integration with my home automation might be a deal down the road.

I use the google assistant and all works well, then it just will stop picking up voice commands, all the other remote functions still work, I restart my steaming devise and then it works again. This happens several times a day.

Starting a couple of days ago (12/19/2023) I can no longer turn on or off closed caption by using Google Assistant - press the button on the Gemini Remote and say “turn on captioning”. I am not aware of any update that occurred. 

I like Google Assistant and use it for some things, like finding a specific show that airs in the future that I want to set up to record. But when I am browsing the guide and seeing what shows are playing at that moment, after maybe 30 seconds, Google Assistant interrupts my browsing.....stops it..
