ALL of my recordings start early, big hassle to fast forward every time

When I schedule a DVR recording for  a specific time, my DVR  always starts recording one or two minutes early.  It is a big hassle to always have to fast forward my show to start watching it.  Who is the incompetent engineer at ATT Uverse who can't start a recording on time?  This is ridiculous!

We used to award each other with a lovely set of steak knives but the mods frowned on us for posting pictures of sharp objects.  So instead, I'll award us this: a lovely edible arrangement.

Also, who knows, maybe the feature you are asking for is in the new software update…

Is it such a big deal for Uverse to fix the faulty software?  Isn't that what we are paying them the big bucks for   Surprised at all the Uverse apologists here.  I guess you are all AT&T employees here?

It would take them five minutes to corrrect the software code.

There is nothing to "fix" because the system works as designed.  A "fix" is for a bug that causes the system to not work as designed.

Also, I love the soft padding. On TW, we always missed the end of a show because the recording ended early.

Seriously how hard is it to push the skip forward button four times.

I am not talking about the 2 minutes after the show, I am talking about the 1-2 minutes before the show as I made clear.   This has got to stop and stop soon.  People are starting to take notice.

I DVR 10 shows a day. That is a lot of FF and then going backwards and then forwards to find the exact start of the tv show.  That should be done automatically by the DVR.

You're being ridiculous dude. Like it's been said if the feature is that annoying to you, you can find a different provider who doesn't have this. It's not the end of the world. And you can FAST FORWARD through it, it's not like you have to spend a minute watching it.

That's what us folks down here in Texas call "the epi-tome of laziocity".

I have gotten so used to it, I just hit skip 2 times and live through the rest.

No other provider's DVR automatically finds the beginning and end of a show. Golly

If they eliminated the soft padding, this is the same guy that would complain about a recording starting 5 seconds late.

Since the internal clocks at every station are not consistent, nor in sync with AT&T, give me the soft padding so I never miss the beginning

I looked at some programs I've recorded.  On one, the show started :40 into the recording but on the next, it was 1:10.

Soft padding:  It's a good thing.  Smiley Wink
