Channel 29 Fox signal loss

In the past 4 weeks, Channel 29 Fox will go to a black screen for a second roughly every 30 seconds.   The sound will get garbled also.   I had a DirecTV tech here today and said it was a known software problem with this channel.    I have the Genie 2.    Anyone else have this issue or know how to correct it?

This is continuing to happen on Channel 29 FOX.    The Directv technician says this is throughout our area.     How long before this gets fixed?   It doesn't happen on any other channels.      Two subscribers in my office experience the same thing on their Directv.

Thanks!

Greg

You still haven't told us where you are (zip code) so we have no idea which channel 29 you are talking about

Six months still have channel 29 (zip 14043)  black outs. Tech cane out found nothing wrong with cables or setup.

I had paid for service call and monthly charge. Finally cancel service payment because DTV is doing nothing for me.

Now they just up the bill $4 for what??  Garbage service.  When is DTV going to fix the problem at there end.

One more month and am cancelling service.  You call and same anwers, let me check and test the box.

Oh must be cables only thing they know.

I am in western New York 14051 and I can not watch fox 29 , the sounds so bad. If I switch over to antenna TV it comes on ok. So not the TV.  Seems many people are having trouble with fox29 on at&t TV. I hope someone can figure this out.

Hello, @Thekohnens! Thank you for the update. Since this concern was recently resolved let's try troubleshooting your sound.

If AT&T TV doesn’t play any sound, plays sound out of sync with the video, or has other sound problems, try these options:

  • Check the volume level and mute settings on your TV and any audio-visual (A/V) receivers you may have.
  • Check audio settings on your device using your remote: Press the Home button, then Settings > System > Remote & Devices > Program Your Remote > Advanced Remote Program > Switch Volume Control.
  • Make sure that your optical audio cable or HDMI cable is snugly attached to your device, the TV, and any A/V receivers.
  • Connect your device to a different input to see if you can hear sound.
  • To enable surround sound, check audio settings on your device.

Press the Home button on your remote, then Settings > System > Audio > Audio Output. The output options are Stereo only or Surround Sound.

If this doenst help, try these options to help fix sound with AT&T TV.

Please let us know if this helps.

Channel 29 Fox signal loss

See that this problem has existed for customers since September of 2019 or before.  Personally we have been experiencing this problem on 4 individual receivers for quite sometime.

Satellite signals are great on all satellites and individual transponders (all above 94).

We didn't have this problem until we were forced to receive this FOX network programming through LOCAL DirecTV provider KVHP.

What will it take for DIRECTV to correct this problem?

This maybe a KVHP problem.
