Direct TV is constantly getting my bill wrong. They will tell you they are going to give you a promotion discounts and bill still comes in wrong. Constantly having to call. Somebody(s) are not doing their job. It is a real hassle. I am real sick and tired of it and may have no choice to cancel even though I have been a customer over 20 years. It is terrible service!

When AT&T owned DTV their CEO stated there will be no more discounts for existing customers so maybe the computer kicked them out. The new owner may or may not bring them back but doubtful.

Also be aware that there are some bad agents who will give you a one-time credit, but position it like an on-going discount. That way they can make it the next agent's problem when you callback. That happens with any company, not just DirecTV.
Since discounts were pulled back as too much was being given out, it is suggested to look over your base costs. Plan for full cost for your budget, don't rely on discounts.
Also remember, any discounts given apply to the next bill, not the one already out. They only send out one bill a month after all. Mentioning as once in a while this kind of complaint comes out because the consumer calculated the discount for the current bill which threw off the next month.
