How to use Locast and make it stream on my TV?

I tried to use Locast as directed from the TV Promise site, and all it did was stream it on my phone.  How do I get it to work on my TV set?

You have to take it up with locast.

locast is available in limited markets.  Check locast.org

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

The locast app is available in limited markets.  Did you check the Interactive page on your Uverse receiver?

locast is a streaming service.  Streaming services, including Netflix, Prime, Disney+, etc. require an internet connection and a device to stream them.

Do you stream using any of the above apps on a device like Roku or Fire Stick?  locast is available on both of those.

In addition to what skeeter said, even though I live in one of their markets, the Locast interactive app is not available in west palm on Uverse, so I’d still need to have a supported streaming device to watch.  The most important thing is to check availability at Locast.org and go from there.

In Phoenix, NBC (KPNX channel 12) refuses to serve DIRECTV.  In order to watch Sunday Night Football (assuming DIRECTV would not put the game on NFL Sunday Ticket) I activated LOCAST.  Picture from LOCAST is good but there is no sound.  How do I get sound??

Hi, @chuck2vegas, we're happy to address your concern!

In order to troubleshoot the sound trouble on the Locast app, please visit their website. Locast is not a DirecTV product, so troubleshooting will have to be done directly through them. If you need help with anything else, just let us know!

DTV has nothing to do with Locast you have to take it up with them.

Currently you can't get local ABC channels.  They tell you to use LOCAST app.  That app is great if you like to pretend you are in a peep show from the 80s.  Every 10 minutes it asks for $5 and then boots you off.  Customer service says they are adjusting bills because they can't get a deal with Tenga.  Nothing has been credited to our account.   When you pause any show, your TV will shut off in 10 minutes.    The box also appears to be the cause of shutting my Samsung TV off if watching another HDMI.

I have donated to Locast so that I am able to watch my local NBC channel.  However, it constantly loses its signal at my 54024 location on my TV.  I use locast at my other location at 56672 and it never loses its signal.  Why does my service at the 54024 lose its signal over my Centurylink/Directv signal?  Additionally, I can stream on my computer at my 54024 location and it does not interrupt.  It seems as though this is a Directv problem and not an internet problem. Any suggestions or solutions?

Thank you

Locast does not come through or have anything to do with Directv, it is a streaming service using your internet connected to your TV.

What do you mean by "lose signal"?

When watching a local station, such as NBC, on Locast, the program will go black on the screen, then within several seconds, it returns as if it had to reboot.  I would suspect it is the internet, however, as I mentioned I will stream on my computer as well, (because the signal drops on the TV) and do not lose signal on my computer.  You would think it would drop on my computer as well.
