Charges an arm and a leg and now my favorite channels have already been removed. Guess it’s time to cancel my services

If your "favorite channels" are local affiliates owned by Tegna, then remember AT&T/DirecTV cannot force them to return the feed. They will be back upon an agreement being reached. Plug in a regular antenna to use as a backup for the free broadcast. If you are considering switching providers, be aware that will not protect you. They all go through negotiations as they don't own the channels, and local affiliates are pulling the feed more often to try and leverage customers to get higher rates. Other TV providers are going through similar negotiations with other local affiliates. So this is just AT&T/DirecTV's turn with Tegna.
However if those channels are not Tegna owned, then please provide details (what channels, symptoms, package, model of boxes, etc.) so the correct solution/answer can be provided.
