U-verse is not available at this time Error message
I am getting a”U-verse not available at this time. Please try again later.” Restart Receiver. I have restarted a ad and reset my router several times and reset my DVR several times over the last 2 hours. Will I ever get my U-verse back again?

My wife & I live in the 39047 zip code & our U-verse TV service went down last night (01/14/2024) @ 9:30 p.m., according to this website: AT&T down in Mesquite? Current problems and outages | Downdetector
It appears to be pretty much a nationwide outage, in their defense, I've always been a supporter of at&t and the services they provide, I don't recall having a major service outage like the current one for a very long time.

you're totally right @skeeterintexas - i think maybe most of us are blowing off steam at being marginalized for our concerns and told "nope it's not us" for at least 12 hours. The truth is when Uverse is working (which is most of the time) there isn't a better service out there which is why i have refused to move to another service AND in all honesty my streamers (which Uverse gives me for free with my plan) and internet are working fine . . so it COULD be worse given our weather but still a little "heads up" email or text would take so little effort and resolve so much wasted time and effort by the users and it didn't happen and that's a big misstep. This won't make me cancel my service and I'll die on my "Uverse" hill but they COULD step up their game pretty easily.

To add, I performed the red button gateway reset, WAP unplug and tiny pin reset, DVR receiver restart, and another receiver restart.

At&t whats the deal with the TV: Wisconsin here and been down since last night 7:30pm CST. Good time to start checking on the free Streaming apps, this may be the reason i finally leave uverse........ too bad too, been around a long time. MLK day and kids off school and wife off, and of course not able to enjoy any TV. -30 with the wind chill outside, would have been a good day to hang out and watch the tube
Any updates at all!!!?????

Agreed that all services periodically have outages, but AT&T has more frequent and longer lasting outages. In addition, AT&T does not have informed customer support when these frequent and long lasting outages occur. Scroll back to Dec 2022 and read through the forums where hundreds of customers report the same issues - it is impossible to speak to a human that can give you any information or assistance. The problem with not being able to get through to customer service is that AT&T is not aware of ALL of the outages. Example: they appear to be aware that TV is out, but there are also customers who do not have working phone and internet. I don't believe they are aware of this, and I can't even get a hold of someone on the phone to report it.
Based on what we experienced in Dec 2022, it will be many, many days before service is restored. Not acceptable for a COMMUNICATIONS company. Please file a complaint with the FCC and BBB, and seriously consider switching companies.

I love my U-verse and hope this is not the end. :( I am more worried about the little bit of AT&T stock I own that has been cut in half over the years.
My outage is in Clinton, MS and it looks bad from all the states affected.

Uverse National Outage last night. None of the troubleshooting worked. It started at 930 pm last night with the DVR not working and then the channels started disappearing and going black screen, one by one. When I rebooted. there was nothing except Bootstrap Error, then the Red X, and never working again. ATT CHAT Did not answer after two hours! ATT still has not answered the phone after 10+ hours and it was still on hold this morning. I left my phone on hold all night. They never answered the chat feature last night. I did reach an online sales person in chat and he said it was a National Outage! After all the online troubleshooting waste of time, I went to to my old AMAZON FIRE STICK. It still works. Why can they not send a text alert to the customers. Do we have any idea how long it will be out? Hearing from others, I think if I would have ignored the reboot/restart troubleshooting. I would still have access to the national channels. When I rebooted, it lost what little service I had left. Really odd this happened right after they restored our local channel 8 on the same day.

Still no U-verse service in Greenfield (MIlwaukee) WI, as with everyone else it went out last night and has not come back on yet.

I was watching the Lions-Rams game, quality didn't seem quite up to par, but I figured it was NBC. When the game ended I switched to local news channel for the weather forecast and only got a black screen. I could go back to NBC and the the post game crap, but every other channel was just a black display. Streaming worked so I reset the U-Verse box and from then on nothing, found this with a search, so thanks for saving me the hassle of resetting the residential gateway which I was loathe to do since Internet access is working fine.

I'm thinking that with the U-verse TV service outage currently going on their customer support system is just overwhelmed and is just unable to handle the amount of requests for service interruptions. Normally I never have to wait so long to reach an agent, hopefully they will be able to restore their service very soon, and while I'm thinking about it I really hope that it wasn't a hacker who might have initiated a denial of service piece of malware into the system.
