I just received a replacement Genie mini to replace one that doesn't appear to be functioning properly. The instruction provided with the mini say to go to the Genie HDDVR to begin setup. However, we have a Genie 2 HS17-500 system. How do I connect the replacement mini to the Genie 2 system?

Does anyone know the symptoms of a Genie needing replacement?  Mine is now 8 years old and having problems like momentary audio dropout and signal hanging on several different stations.  I have refreshed and reset many times both from my end and via tech support.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
