How do you search for movies that are playing at present time?

I just got Uverse yesterday and noticed that my On Demand Premium channels are missing popular shows. For example HBO doesn't have Game of Thornes, but if I search I find the 1st episode available. I just tried to use my U-Verse app, had to update and now all the system info is garbled letters and numbers and the tv stations are not ours. I have deleted the app and reloaded, but nothing changes.
