Service cut off

My service was cut off bc I couldn’t pay my bill bc I lost my job bc of coronavirus. I thought AT&T wasn’t cutting off service to people right now. I’ve been on hold for 35 mins so far to talk to someone.

the promise was for wireless and internet not TV staying connected is essential entertainment is not considered essental, so unlees your going to pay your bill once someone picks up your wasting your time being on hold

Just learned that the CoViD-19 safety distance is 18ft instead of 6 through a friend that tells me this is all over TV. Yes, TV provides entertainment and it also gets you news and survival information. Mine got cut off today. If I had at least one month I would have avoided suspension. 2 months already without income. I am trying to workout a payment plan and return the gear. No help on that from a corporation that has by far more resources than I do. Please skip the reprimand, add on the word compassion to constructive and give us solutions. Much appreciated.

@HollywoodCustomer i have no solution its what the company did i didnt reprimand you i was simply trying to save you a 2 plus hour hold on the phone i am a customer same as you i post here on my own time and off the clock our answers are factual but not always appreciated when we state the facts that people dont want to hear or agree with

You can use an antenna to get your locals over the air they're FREE over the air. Pay tv is a luxury not a necessity that's why video services are being interupted for non payment. The covid-19 info has been misinterpreted by by many.

How can DirectTV say that a TV is not essential when we are are on lockdown at home. I have 2 young grandchildren that I have to keep entertained. I am furious right now. I can’t even watch the news. It’s absolutely disgusting. I am cancelling my service at this point. I have $40 to my name.
