Move questions: moving service, dish location, wires inside or out

I'm moving to a new house in a few weeks a few questions:

  1. Is there still a free moving service?

  2. Do I have to sign a contract?

  3. Can I get a new receiver AND keep my old one for a second TV? How much?

  4. On a previous house I knew where the dish was going so I pre-planned a path for the cables INSIDE the house, can I get an installer to show me where the dish will be then come back a few days later after I run a pull string?

  5. The house used to have Comcast and was pre-wired with coax to all the rooms so I need to bring the coax to that wiring point, right?

Is there still a free moving service? NO

Do I have to sign a contract? YES

Can I get a new receiver AND keep my old one for a second TV? How much? this woulb be an upgrade so it would be a new 2 year contract

On a previous house I knew where the dish was going so I pre-planned a path for the cables INSIDE the house, can I get an installer to show me where the dish will be then come back a few days later after I run a pull string? No once hes there he has to install it

The house used to have Comcast and was pre-wired with coax to all the rooms so I need to bring the coax to that wiring point, right? NO the installer will use existing coax or run new coax if needed

Finally called the 800#

They are not charging me for the move

They are knocking $50 of my monthly bill for 12 months

No they won't scope out the location ahead of time, but it sounds like I might be able to keep the tech working for four hours to do it my way - I'll scope out two alternate paths for the coax ahead of time - one through a crawl space and parallel to a heating duct, the other by drilling holes between floors and ceilings of the 1st floor walk-in closet that is directly under the 2nd floor walk in closet - then cover with some trim of some sort
