Since you have SWM you should be able to simply swap the two boxes. This assumes that your bedroom coax cable is also connected to your SWM splitter. Do not change any connections to the SWM Power Inserter, just remove the satellite coax from the back of each box and swap the boxes.

It would depend on your setup and how many cables you have going to each unit, so U need to supply more info. What unit do U have in the living room?

press the dash key on your remote. does the pop up message makes any indication of a SWM connected system?
