I was trying to continue watching episodes to catch up on the fear of The Walking Dead and it’s not showing up on the app

I get very dark picture which comes and goes and then stays dark on my tv. until I reset, then the picture is good for awhile and goes back to being very dark, this happens with recorded programs as well as live. The receiver is one year old.
