We lost our DVR whole house remote, can we take one from a bedroom non DVR box and reprogram it to work? We've tried and it only turns on tv and does volume, no other buttons work... Thanks!

I have read the post about the problems with the white lines on the screen. I have not had any electrical work in my house and the reciever has not been moved since installation 2 years ago.

I've got a large home and would like to have 8 HD receivers all with DVR capability. If this is possible would I need more than one dish and more than one DVR?  Also, what would be my limitations as far as how many programs could be watched and/or recorded simultaneously? Thanks in advance.James
