We are considering getting rid of our land line but I do remember when we first ordered Directv we had to have a land line. We do have a DVR but we do not order anything via remote control. Can I get rid of land line or do I need to have one?

Why do I have constant static on one tv and now the land line has the same thing

Can the Screen Saver be deactivated or the time extended before it activates?

Is there any way to disable this bloody screen saver or extend the amount of "inactive time" before the thing self activates???? It makes me mental!!!!  If the press ok message popped up after 8-12 hours, it wouldn’t bother me as much... but it pops up for me after 2 hours of not touching my remote!

UVerse & Land Line using same jack

just had a new land line installed. AT&T was supposed to use a second jack in the house, but they used the UVerse DSL line. I plugged the phone into the back of the Gateway and it does not work. I then used a two line filter and it works, but does this compromise the dsl?
