If I have DirecTV, I can use the DVR even if the sat connection is down.  Same with DishNetwork.  And if Comcast is down I can still watch the Comcast DVR recorded shows. But uVerse won't allow access to recordings if uVerse service is down.  WHY????

I am downloading some VOD's that are list as HD and when I play them back they look low resolution and blurry. They are so bad I deleted them all. My HD channels all look great when recorded normally not using VOD.
