Does the gemini remote for directv livestream have a line of sight restriction. Or does it pair via bluetooth or similiar connection?

Right now I have to turn on the TV, then use my ROKU remote to navigate to DirecTV. Wondering if the Gemini Air remote changes that so it automatically goes to DirecTV when turned on. Thanks for any help!

We have 4 receivers and have discovered that we really only need 1. How do we return the 3 receivers we no longer need and stop paying the lease for them, but keep our overall service and the 1 receiver?

If I replace a Genie client with a Gemini, would I gain access to Directv’s 4K channels on the TV that uses the Gemini? I have HR44 on main TV and a non-4K Genie client on second TV. I do not care which of the TVs gets 4K. (I realize I would have to ask for 4K to be authorized but would I also need
