Streaming + Device & App

I have DIRECTV Stream service and I use the DIRECTV app on my TCL smart TV to watch my streaming channels. The DIRECTV app seems to freeze fairly regularly and once it does none of the buttons on the remote can get you out. How can I force quit the app and restart it?

My Direct Tv Streaming app constantly locks up! On a regular basis I am having to do a force stop and relaunch the app! I have tried clearing the cache but that doesn’t help.

I am away from home for several weeks, and wish to stop the "series recording" of a particular show. It was possible at home, using the Gemini box, but I cannot find a way to do that via browser access on my laptop, nor via the DirecTV Stream app on my iPad. Thanks for any pointers. I'm shopping for a new TV. Which is better using the Directv app - LG or Samsung?

I purchased the subject tv and then was told by LG that the DirectTV Stream app is NOT applicable. I am using the Gemini on an older tv and it works fine but when I plug it into an HDMI port on the LG it indicates no signal. Does Gemini work on this tv? If so, how?

I am watching DIRECTV via streaming on my iPad. If I don’t touch the screen it interrupts and asks “are you still there”. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
