Recorded the wrong program

We have been recording a show on our local KMTW Channel 36 station for some time now without problems. Last Saturday, the program shows that it recorded but when we went to watch it, the show recorded was from the Animal Planet Channel 282 which is an entirely different station We use a Direct TV DV

DirecTV is only licensed in the U.S.A, so is not authorized for any other country. It is service by satellites in geosynchronous orbit only over the service area, so would be impossible to reach the other side of the planet anyway.

Part of The Menu is cut off of the screen

Hi. Part of the menu is cut off of the screen and i dont know how to fix it, and its really hard to navigate through On Demand. On the Guide its cuts off the channel name(like the 3-5 letter abreviation of the channel) and the time at the time is cut off to and i would really like to know how to fix
