Main cable box shows a red ‘X’ in the middle of my tv screen secondary box works

Box is not working Red x

One of my TV have a red x and 6 under it. I have tried resetting it, unplugging it for 10 seconds. Still a red x and 6. Can we fix this?

When I switch to cable tv, I only get a red X on the screen.

My converter box/DVR is out.  Tried re-setting, it's just locked up.  Tried re-booting modem, no help.  Blue, green, red lights on front, big red X on screen.  Any suggestions?  Also, if I have to get a new box is there any way to save my DVR recordings from the old box?  Thanks.  Any help appreciat

We remodeled our house and have been out for 6 weeks. We are back today and tried setting up the U-verse box for the TV. All it shows is a large Red X in the middle of the screen. I read some posts and watched a couple of YouTube videos about it. We tried the Reboot, but it does not go to the Reboot

I have used all the tricks and hints to reset my box and still a big Red X shows up. Now what?

We got the red x 6 this morning - can't find out what this means. Tried rebooting the box (VIP2250, maybe 7 years old) a few times, still red x.  Other boxes in the house have no problem (except can't see recordings, on the problem box).   Time for a new box?
