How to receive our att/directv on rv travels

I asked this to a directv tech person before the official att merge this past year. I was told we could just take our receiver box and get either a portable dish or a fixed dome for the rv (like  Winguard) now, I’m reading these forums and it dsounds like that doesn’t work anymore. If I don’t want t

You want everyone else to pay for the channels you want. That is greed and entitlement right there. Safe travels and just remember no TV provider is immune so you could go through something similar again.

I want My Nexstar Back

Either way we pay. We either pay out of pocket or we pay by not being able to view our favorite programs...I would rather pay out of pocket. Get your collective crap together and sign the contracts.

Question

Take a look at your power inserter. If it is wired in such a way that the streamed program travels through the power inserter on the way to the receiver that may be your problems (see pic on left).  The cure for this problem involves rerouting

Question

I don't care how much DIRECTV agents want to tell you that the R22 uses the home WiFi for WHDVR because for as long as I have been experimenting with DIRECTV, the answer is always that it travels through coax. You either have bad splitters when shari

I don't know what your problem is, but in a lot of Whole Home installations the signal from the HD DVR travels through the power inserter. See pic on the left.  The preferred way is to take the PI out of the stream see pic on right.  You m

Local Channels at "Vacation Property"

I will be using my home receiver (HR44) on the road in my RV while traveling in conjunction with a proper Swim portable dish. When I get to my "Vacation Property" where we park the RV and will be stationary for 3-5 months, each year, is there any way that Directv will allow us to have the "Local"

bogo14, Bob is spot on. The basic DECA system connects each of your receivers to each other to facilitate MRV, the MRV signal never travels through your router. Then, there is one additional DECA adapter that will connect the basic DECA network to yo

I was told by Directv that if I purchased powerline adapters for my standard HD receivers (H-20 i think) I could participate in the beta phase of multi-room viewing. I just got the powerline adapters in the mail and found that I do not have an ethernet connection on the receivers therefore cannot co

Ahhhhh, excellent troubleshooting on your part.  The faulty Ethernet cable was shorting which caused the entire Ethernet system to fail.  Just for your information, the streamed programming signal from the DVR to a receiver travels over the coax but
