Is it possible to watch recorded shows on the DriectTV app?

For the longest time, I had the Entertainment package and very old satellite set top boxes. So I got a message saying the old app was going away in a couple of weeks. It does not appear that I can download any of the shows on my direct ( I have satellite). Am I mistaken? Do I need to change service to comcast or some other service. Almost worthless if I can’t watch shows when off line.

Sound is working fine on 4k channels but not getting any sound on other channels or my DVR recorded shows

This problem has been occurring for more than a month, many customers have complained, but it has yet to be resolved. All other channels come in fine. Since the old app was just sunsetted on May 31, I can no longer view both the CW (KTLA channel 5) and MeTV (channel) 54 via the “new” app which has been out for a very long time. These channels were available on the old app so it can’t be a carriage issue.  Any idea why this is and if DTV will
